How do I search for a friend?
- Login to Batchmates.com using your email id and password.
- Type in the name of your friend in the Search Friend box in the left panel.
- The list of matching profiles will be displayed along with their photo and school/college/workplace details.
- You can view his/her profile by clicking on the name.
I searched for my friend’s first name and pages of results came in. How do I filter the search result?
In the search result page, scroll down and put other details like friend’s last name, middle name, institute name, batch year, location and click on Search result to get a refined result.
You can search for a friend from the members’ list of the institute where he/she had studied in.
- Login to Batchmates.com using your email id and password.
- Search for the school/college/workplace where your friend studied/worked from the “Search Institute” box in the left panel.
- When the matching institutes are displayed, click on the “View Members” link against the desired institute name.
- All the members registered in that institute are shown. You can filter out the names alphabetically, or view the members batch wise to get hold of your friend.
- To search for the friend in that institution, scroll down and put the name in the search box. Click on the Search button.
- Matching names registered in that institute are displayed.
I do not know my friend’s current surname that might have changed after marriage. How can I search for her?
Batchmates already takes care of this. You can very well search for the name you know. If your friend has filled up her maiden name, her name shall also come up in the search result.
For example, if your friend’s name was Pooja Sharma when U studied with her, and that has been changed to Pooja Verma after marriage, you can search for Pooja Sharma and Pooja Verma will also be listed in the result in a form like Pooja Verma(Sharma) where the surname in brackets is the maiden name.
How do I search for my school/college/workplace?
- Login to Batchmates.com using your email id and password.
- Search for the school/college/workplace from the “Search Institute” box in the left panel.
- All matching institutes will be listed.
- If pages of results come in, you can filter out the results by scrolling down and putting additional details like Country, State and City.
